Theo Cinnamond in Year 12 came first in his age category out of 26 teams representing the biggest clubs from across the Midlands and South West at the Midland Road Relay Championships last Saturday.

Teams of three runners all ran stages of 3.88km, and Theo and his two teammates achieved a combined time of 37:45 to come first in the U17A category. As a result they have qualified for the National Young Athlete Relays taking place on 8 October in Sutton Coldfield.

Theo first joined Swindon Harriers to fulfil the sporting element of his Silver DoE back in Year 10. He stayed with the Harriers after completing the award and continues to train and compete with the squad in track, road running and cross country. He is very much hoping to represent the school in cross country this year!
