GCE ADVANCED LEVEL SUBJECT RESULTS

 

There were 129 students in the Upper Sixth in 2007/2008.

Grades A to E are passes at A Level, grade U is unclassified.

The pass rate at ‘A’ Level was 100%

 

The average number of ‘A’ Levels gained per candidate was 4.0

 

73.5% of entries were passed at grades A and B;   94.3% were grades A to C.

 

The average UCAS points score per candidate was 413.3 (based on grade A=120 pts., B=100, C=80, etc.)

 

65% of our U6 students each gained at least one grade A pass, a third of students each gained two or more grade A passes including four who each gained four A grades and two students who each gained five grade As.

  

 

AS LEVEL SUBJECT RESULTS

 

There were 126 students in the Lower Sixth in 2007/2008, most took five subjects including General Studies.

 The pass rate at ‘AS’ Level was 97.4%.

 

57% of entries were at grades A and B;   79% were grades A to C.

 

T Two thirds of students each gained at least one grade A pass, a third each gained two or more grade A passes including seven students who each gained four A grades and two who each gained five A grades.

 

GCSE RESULTS

 

 

There were 116 boys in Year 11 in 2007/8. The pass rate at grade C and above was 98%.

The average number of passes at grade C and above per pupil was 10.3.

 

57 of all entries gained grades A and A*. 

 

Eighty pupils each gained five or more passes at grades A and A*, eighteen pupils each gained ten or more passes all at grades A and A*.

The average points score (based on A*=58, A=52, B=46, etc.) was 517, which is equivalent to ten grade As or nine grade A*s per pupil.

The twenty nine boys who took their Mathematics GCSE a year early, at the end of Year 10, all passed at grades A and A*.
