About Sir Thomas Rich's School, Gloucester

Sir Thomas Rich's is a successful and flourishing grammar school situated in Longlevens, Gloucester. Our founder, Sir Thomas Rich, established the school in 1666 as a Bluecoat Hospital school.

Although we are now a progressive and modern centre of learning excellence, we have not forgotten our heritage and we are proud of our traditions, the best of which underpin and influence the overall ethos of the school. We have three aims: the achievement of the highest academic standards, maintenance of the highest behavioural standards and encouragement of a diverse extra-curricular programme.

Garde Ta Foy - the school motto is in Old French, it means Keep the Faith.
